Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.64 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in the East, after 27 BC. Head of Augustus to right, wearing oak wreath. Rev. AVGVSTVS Capricorn to right, holding globe attached to rudder between front hooves and bearing cornucopiae on back. BMC 664. Cohen 23. RIC 541. Rare. A beautifully toned example with a fine portrait. Flan crack and with light marks, otherwise, very fine.
